Blue West: The story so Far.

Blue West: The Story so far....

Four weeks into the PFL season and the Blue West division is locked up. The tightest division in the league has all 4 teams with a 2-2 record.

It is not surprising that the division is so close. It features four experienced PFL coaches, and four quality ones at that. AndyRams (Arizona), Carlos 172 TSR (St Louis), Lisburngamer (San Frnacisco) and raggieOAFC (Seattle) all have a wealth of Madden experience, and they are locked in what looks like one of the closest divisional races in PFL history.

Week 1:

The opening week of the season saw the four coaches square off against each other. Seattle had a relatively comfortable victory, beating Carlos' Rams 31-10 in St Louis. AndyRams Cardinals managed to pull off the win in a fantastic game against the 49ers. Down by 16 points with just a few minutes to play, the 49ers attempted an improbable fightback. Two quick TD's pulled to score back to 33-28, and then Lisburn amazingly recovered the onside kick. However, they couldn't get in the endzone for the winning TD as time expired.

Week 2:

The second week saw another round of divisional games.

In San Francisco, Lisburns 49ers pulled of an easy one-sided win over raggieOAFC's Seahawks. The Seahawks couldn't stop Frank Gore as they crashed to a 38-10 defeat.

In Arizona, the Rams managed to pull off the win in a see-saw game...mainly thanks to Kurt Warner throwing three picks. Down by 3 with 6 minutes to play, the Rams put together a clock sapping TD drive to seal a 28-24 win.

After week 2, all 4 teams had a 1-1 record.

Week 3:

Week 3 of the PFL saw the Blue West playing the teams from the Blue East, and all away from home.

Not surprisingly, AndyRams Cards fell to the old master... RainbowDoc's Redskins winning 28-13. The other three teams in the division all came away with victories.

The 49ers went to Giants stadium and came away with a 34-24 victory, and the Seahawks went to Dallas and came away with a fantastic 45-28 win...'Hawks QB Matt Hasselbeck playing near flawlessly as he threw for almost 400 yards and 4 TD's.

The game of the week in this West @ East series came as the Rams went and won in Philadelphia. At half time, the Rams were 20-7 up, and after three it was 27-14 to the Rams. A spirited fightback from the Eagles almost saw them clinch the victory, but Carlos managed to hold on for a memorable 33-28 win.

After 3 weeks, Rams, 49ers and Seahawks were 2-1 whilst the Cardinals were 1-2.

Week 4:

Week 4 saw the Blue West division host the Red West in the first series of inter-conference games. Amazingly, all the teams who won in week 3 lost, whilst the one week 3 loser won!

Andy Rams Arizona Cardinals hosted the Kansas City Chiefs and came away with a 37-27 win to go 2-2. The traded points and it was all square going into the 4th. However, 10 unanswered points sealed the win for the Cards.

A clash of the titans at Candlestick Park saw two Raiders fans go head to head in a game in which the Oakland Raiders won. The Kirchoffs69 coached Raiders traded TD's with the 49ers until the very last minute when they sealed the game with a field goal for a 24-21 win, which send the 49ers to 2-2.

In St Louis, an amazing finish to the game gave PFL newcomer Scuba888 his first PFL win. With 30 seconds to go, Carlos levelled the game at 20-20. However, from the resulting kickoff, the Broncos ran the ball back for a TD for a stunning 27-20. St Louis now 2-2.

In Seattle, raggieOAFC somehow managed to throw away (literally) a winning position in the 4th quarter to give Drasticthunder's Charger their first win of the season. Leading by 10 deep in the fourth, 'Hawks QB Hasselbeck threw two awful picks which ended up being converted for TD's as the Chargers won 42-38.

Four weeks in and the division is knotted up at 2-2. It will be interesting to see how the division pans out in what looks like the tightest PFL playoff race ever
