TweetSo the seasons over, and from my own point of view it’s been one of the best since I started playing in the XBLN leagues. Great banters, guys doing their best to get the games played, an all round good laugh. So with that being said let’s look at how everyone did and give a quick round up.
Parm21: There’s only one word to describe this lad, and that’s a fighter. Despite having one of the worst seasons that anyone has experienced on XBLN he hung in there right till the end of the season. Hopefully he’ll have improved fortunes next season and bounce back.

Final Position: 20th
Turtle Zed: When we played our league game he told me that he doesn’t know what went wrong this season. I have to say that Turtle Zed is one of the better players I’ve seen get relegated, and has certainly had a season that he never expected would happen. Turtle Zed did say that his highlight this season was destroying myself 5-1 in the cup game after his relegation had been confirmed.

Pettigrew26: Here’s another lad who fought right up to the last game despite having a disastrous season. Another that we’ll hopefully see bounce back next season and push for promotion.

Sigur Rossco: An up and down season for the young scot. He just didn’t seem to be able to find any sort of consistency throughout the season. Ultimately it cost him after he slipped into the automatic relegation spot on the final day of the season, however he finds some consistency next season he’ll be a tough test for anyone.

WhiskeyBarnes123: WhiskeyBarnes, the only guy on here who games in a thong! Has often been involved in a relegation battle but has never actually been relegated until this season. He narrowly missed the automatic spot but lost in the playoff 2-0. On hearing of his relegation I asked him what his thought’s where and all he would say was:“The Butcher will be back” adding an evil laugh afterwards.

xRuudx: Only a few seasons ago Ruud was in the premier division, this once mighty FIFA player has really fallen from grace and was involved in another relegation battle this season. It was surprising considering he had the powerful Birmingham side but he just couldn’t get to grips with them. He managed to survive relegation thanks to a 2-0 playoff win against WhiskeyBarnes123.

MrDahDriver: A relative new comer to the XBLN leagues, it was a tough old season. It was a constant struggle against relegation this season, however he never gave into the pull of the 3rd division and fought against the drop all season only to avoid it on the final day of the season.

MuzzyBoy: Another competitor with a disappointing season. He had started very strongly picking up points and it looked like he would be pushing for promotion, however after match number 16 things went sour and inconsistency crept into what had been a good season, due to this inconsistency he found himself being pulled into a relegation battle which he avoided with a couple of games to spare.

Steve Van Halen: Steve’s been around for a while now and always has his team set up extremely well, he appeared to making a big push for the play offs all season until a disastrous last month which saw him miss out, Steve’s another who’ll be pushing hard again next season.

Sir Smift: Another one of us that lacked consistency. Found himself bottom of the table after 3 games and then in 5th 5 games later, ultimately Sir Smift fell back to the midtable balance, and did enough to ensure he didn’t get sucked into the relegation battle.

Hamo17: Not much I can really say about my own season except it was the usual inconsistency. I could have easily got relegated this season and at one point it was looking very likely, however I managed to turn it around and really make a push for the play offs missing out by just 1 point in the end. Can I do it again next season? I highly doubt it.

Ubeep: Ubeep had a good season, started with Blackburn and moved to Getafe mid-season. Unfortunately for Ubeep the consistency was never there this season and he narrowly missed out on the playoffs by 1 point. Ubeep has also decided to call time on his XBLN FIFA League career, which is a shame and we hope to see him back very soon.

Toon Ultra: The divisions resident Geordie had an awful three quarters of a season. He rescued season brilliantly and actually ended up sneaking into the play offs. Could we see a Geordie battle between Deano and Toon Ultra next season?

ShammyStu: What a turn around this guy had, a few games in and he was struggling at the foot of the table, but he managed to turn it around and put a good string of results together and sneak into the playoffs. He’s another who should be a title contender next season.

ScottieDawgLive: Scottie had a great season, despite having to take a few weeks off for exams, never dropped out of the playoff spots once he was in and should be a contender next season.

O Lucas V: A very consistent performer this season, never dropped below mid-table. In fact he was constantly in the playoff spots, Fulham seemed to suit him perfectly and the power of Zamora was a big telling point, overall a good season for the young lad.

Blackenambaa: Someone who has been a regular in the leagues for a number of years and knows exactly what it takes to push for the title. Had an overall good season finishing with 74 points. He won his first 7 games convincingly scoring 19 goals including beating ShammyStu 7-1. However he was brought back down to earth with a bump when Andy Hamsonaldo beat him 4-0, but he bounced straight back with a 7-0 win over Devilshaircut01. Overall a very consistant season in which Blackenambaa never dropped out of the top 4.

Andy Hamsonaldo: Ended the season with 77 points, 11 behind the eventual winner. He started the season well winning 7 of his first 10 games, only losing to Ubeep and xRuudx, scoring 25 goals in the process including a 5-0 thrashing of Devilshaircut01. His form infront of goal appeared to dip at the end of the season with a number of 1-0 wins, although he did get revenge over Ubeep for the earlier defeat with a 6-0 win.

Devilshaircut01: Possibly the biggest talker in the league, he was often found among for the forums looking for banter. This was a big season for him after saying he would destroy everybody in his way too glory, and it looked as if what he had been saying would be true after he went 8 games unbeaten at the start of the season. However he was cut down to size when Blackenambaa and Andy Hamsonaldo destroyed him 7-0 and 5-0 respectively. However he was undeterred and kept believing he was the best in the league and in reality he was one of the top performers, another who never dropped outside the top four after the first week.

GoonerKeano: The eventual winner of the league, a deserving winner of the league, his defensive record this season is top class and he had a goal scoring record to match which showed in his final game of the season beating Parm21 10-0! The big question is will he be able to continue his form next season in division 1?

So that’s the round up done, congratulations to GoonerKeano on winning the league by a distance in the end and congratulations to Andy Hamsonaldo who collected the golden boot with Daniel Guiza scoring 54 goals this season. Commiserations to Sigur Rossco, WhiskeyBarnes123, Parm21, Turtle Zed and Pettigrew26 who got relegated and good look for next season lads
