The M-League, boasting some of the biggest turnouts in XBLN history, returns this March. Its been a long time coming, but this will surely be another massive event that is not to be missed. The format is pretty much the same as last seasons, with a few tweaks to the finals. Instead of randomising the nights, its now set for every other Sunday, starting March 7th, with the first 5 nights being group stages and then May 16th being the Finals night.
The slight change to the finals is 1st vs 2nd for the Grand Final winner (which brought about a fair bit of controversy last season), also a 3rd/4th place playoff and a wooden spoon playoff. Instead of the top 10 rated players going into the Grand Final, the 1st & 2nd placed captains will pick their teams first, then the 3rd/4th placed captains will pick from whats left and so on.
The Captains? Well, we will be taking applicants soon enough, think you're good enough? Its not just about picking the teams, you will be required to write a few articles, rate players fairly, help build the prominance of the event. Check the forums this week for how to submit your application.
