Recent talk of a cross site tournament has been doing the rounds lately. A FIFA 10 vs 10 tournament between XBLN and another site called PGL was looking more and more likely as the days went on with our now resident politician AdeyL in discussions with the PGL management.
However, that was until one man, who goes by the gamertag of Brownyrules23, went and ruined everything. The guy joined us recently to check us out only to start slagging us off on the Xbox live forums. He went on to say in messages sent to XBLN staff that XBLN admins 'were weird' and that our site was far inferior to their own. Here are a couple of messages sent by Browny, spelling mistakes included;
"grow up mate i wont cry over this i joimned your site to see how it was run but ive had some feedback that your admin are weird so am glad am out
also ill make it known that you ban members from othersites becasue we play on other sites"
Then another he sent straight after,
"5/6 years you ahve been going not many members and your leagues are crap.we ahve been ging for 8 month have over 180 members all leagues full prem champ league 1 and 2 world club grand slam interleagues supers 9
alot more you"
2 of the guys that run PGL, Rammieone and COL NIL SATIS, who some guys might remember were very apologetic for the behaviour of Brownyrules23 and were very disappointed in him.
That aside it was Davo himself who, in the past anyways has always stated that tournaments between sites were never gonna happen. This was the perfect opportunity for all doubters, including Davo amongst others, to be proven wrong because as time went on the more and more likely the event was gonna happen. A 10 v 10 FIFA tournament between 2 sites was being discussed as an initial trial. If we lost, the following years event would have been huge as revenge would have been sought. If we had won bragging rights would have ensued a year of glee and I'm pretty sure PGL would have sought revenge for all the same reasons. However, because of one mans immaturity this will now never happen. A complete shame. Thanks Browny, we hope you thought it was worth it!
One thing is for sure though. XBLN can come out of this whole experience with its head held high and still rightly claiming its place as the biggest and best of all gaming websites.
